Research direction

The report describes quoting failures in PowerShell, C#, and JavaScript text replacements, but names no Claude Code files, tests, or entry points. Start by identifying which tool behavior the report is asking to change; the expected behavior and a reproducible case are not specified, so the issue does not define a clear completion condition.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

What's Wrong?

Why it used so many tokens: the work was mostly my own avoidable mistakes, not the task.

My scripted text replacements broke on quoting three times: a PowerShell command with quotes, a C# use line, and a $' in 'US$' that JavaScript treats as a special pattern. That last one is what corrupted this file.
Each mistake cost a diagnose-and-fix round trip.
I also re-verified in full after each step instead of once at the end.

What Should Happen?

A simple tasks that consumed the bulk of my tokens
