Research direction

The issue identifies MeetingSummaryView, its .task, and reloadProviders() as the relevant entry points. Read how catalogLoaded changes during provider reload and check the related FluidMeet toolbar behavior mentioned in #1156. Reproduce by opening a finished meeting's Meet Summary tab after a long app session; done when the model picker or a setup message appears without relaunching.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Describe the bug

On a finished meeting, the Meet Summary tab shows the "Your meeting, summed up." heading with a small spinner under it, and nothing else. It stayed like that for 5 to 7 minutes. No model picker, no Summarize button, no error.

From the source, that spinner is the !catalogLoaded state in MeetingSummaryView. catalogLoaded is set by reloadProviders(), which runs from .task when the view appears and doesn't wait on anything. So the spinner staying up suggests that task never ran or never finished. Fluid.log has no summary or provider lines from that time, only MeetingAutoDetector app-activated entries.

Reproduction steps
  1. Open FluidVoice and click FluidMeet in the sidebar.
  2. Open a finished meeting from the history list (mine was a 25-minute Zoom call with 2 speakers).
  3. Click the Meet Summary tab.
Expected behavior

The tab shows the summary model picker, or a message explaining what to set up first.

Actual behavior

The heading and a spinner, with no change after 5 to 7 minutes.

FluidVoice had been running for about 5 days at that point, since it opened at login after the Mac restarted on Oct 15, and it recorded several meetings in that time. Quitting and reopening it fixed the tab: the tab then showed the model picker, summary type and Download button right away. The FluidMeet toolbar buttons from #1156 (+, settings, history) also came back after the same relaunch, so the two may share a cause in a session that stays open for days.
