Research direction

Start by tracing the current file-scanning pipeline and how BinaryAlert accepts scan submissions and displays results. Define the local file and directory inputs, configurable output destination, and JSON default; the work is done when both input forms produce local scan results.

Description

Background

The current file scanning pipeline, does not support local file scanning.

Desired Change

A user should be able to submit a local file or local path to a directory of files to be scanned by binary alert. The results should also be display locally (output should be configurable with a default of JSON).
