Description

Problem / motivation

Problem

The app is an Electron desktop app, and team members are Claude Code processes running on the owner’s computer. When the laptop sleeps or closes, the office stops, including schedules like “check the support inbox every hour.” It’s also single-user, so a manager or bookkeeper can’t see the board or answer a Needs you item.

Proposed solution

Proposed solution

  • Phase 0, small: keep-awake while jobs are scheduled, launch at login, and a tray indicator, so the common laptop case is covered without architecture changes.
  • Phase 1: split the orchestration from the Electron shell into a background Node service that can run on an always-on machine (mini-PC, home server).
  • Phase 2: serve the Studio over a local web interface (WebSocket to the service), reachable from a phone on the same network or via a secure tunnel.
  • Phase 3: multiple users with roles: owner, manager, read-only.

Acceptance criteria (Phase 0 and 1)

  • Scheduled jobs run reliably with the lid closed on a supported setup.
  • The service exposes nothing to the network by default.
