Problem / motivation

Small business owners are far more price conscious, especially in regards to new technologies and automation, than larger businesses. These small business owners will want various price / performance inference options depending on the complexity of the role given to their agents. Since this platform is made to be easily configurable and usable by business owners without a strong technology skillset, adding newer or less expensive inference providers and understanding the benefits and drawbacks of each could be difficult. The biggest barrier to agentic automation for small businesses is pricing and unclear value propositions. If dontbemichael can guide users through these hurdles naturally and help them make informed choices on inference and automation, small businesses will be far more likely to adopt the platform.

Proposed solution

Build an information tool and wizard utility that runs on first setup and can be initiated again at any time. Not only would this feature easily walk non-technical users through adding any open-ai format compatible endpoint to the system, it would also be accompanied by a simple AI agent / helper that would gather up-to-date information on providers, hosted models, benchmarks, and pricing. This agent could answer questions and provide feedback to help individual owners discern which services and models they should use based on the complexity of the tasks they require, their estimated usage levels, and their budget. Once a selection is made, the wizard provides assistance with integration. I could prototype this feature if you like
