Due to some improvements to propagating self-referential functions, the user-provided sample of river gulf mounts functionally has its first function go from:

int64_t (*)() sub_100000000()

to:

int64_t (* (* (*)())())() sub_100000000()

when going from 5.3 to 6.0.
