Research direction

The issue proposes collapsing multiple identically-latency LatencyNodes into one SummingNode feeding a single LatencyNode in Tracktion Engine's audio graph. Start by locating the LatencyNode and SummingNode classes and the latency-compensation path that inserts them per track; the two comments and lack of a linked PR mean the design is unresolved. Done means the graph builds fewer latency nodes for tracks with matching latency while existing audio routing and compensation tests still pass.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

If you have a track with a single latency introducing plugin on it, all other tracks will need to be latency balanced (see image).
image
Most of these LatencyNodes will be introducing the same latency so could be replaced with a single SummingNode feeding a single LatencyNode.
