Research direction

Start by reading the existing MySQL connection flow and the PostgreSQL connection setup to understand how each handles database selection. Then identify the changes needed to connect to PostgreSQL without a specific database and to list and select databases after connecting. Done means users can browse the PostgreSQL server’s available databases and choose which ones to show.

🚀 Feature Proposal

Thanks for the great tool! I have a usability suggestion regarding PostgreSQL connections.

Currently, when adding a PostgreSQL connection, I'm required to specify a single target database before the connection can be established. Everything then shows up under that one database only.

This is different from MySQL, where I can connect at the server level and then see a list of all databases/schemas on that instance, and choose which ones to display.

Motivation

Could PostgreSQL connections work the same way as MySQL?

Allow connecting to a PostgreSQL instance without forcing me to pick one specific database up front.
After connecting, list all databases available on the server.
Let me select which databases I want to show/browse (similar to MySQL's behavior).
