Research direction

Start by locating where the “do-not-break-after” user additions are stored, loaded, and reset to defaults, then trace the paths used in versions 5.3.0 and 5.4.0-beta6. The report does not identify a reproducible trigger or relevant file, so first reproduce the reset and narrow down which operation causes it; done means user additions persist through that operation.

Description

It seems to me that at certain moments the "do-not-break-after" user additions are being reset to default in certain situations.
For now i didn't notice in what exact moment it happens, but it happens. I have to keep a copy of the files that i changed, and have to replace them once they get reset.

Version 5.3.0 and also the 5.4.0-beta6
