Research direction

Start by locating the “Improve Time Codes” window and the dialogue isolation calculation it triggers when Align is clicked. Check how existing waveform voice isolation information is stored and whether the other tools can reuse it. Done means repeated alignment attempts or option changes reuse available isolation results instead of recalculating them.

Description

Hello.

The "Improve Time Codes" function is very useful, but very slow due to the voice isolation part. It would help if this information could be retrieved if it already exists. As things stand (unless I’m mistaken):

  • If the voice has already been isolated for a video’s waveform in the software, the “Improve Time Codes” tool will still restart the dialogue isolation calculation in the dedicated window as soon as you click the "align" button.
  • If you simply change an option (such as the maximum offset duration) in the ‘Improve Time Codes’ window to fine-tune the settings after the first try, it will restart the dialogue isolation process each time. At least it's what it's written under the progress bar.

Is there no way, once it has been created, to retain the dialogue isolation so that it can be reused whenever necessary across the software’s various tools?
