Research direction

Start by reviewing the repository's current dependency declarations and the proposed requirements.txt approach, then reproduce the slow pip installation described in the issue. Done means the requirements.txt captures appropriate versions and installation no longer spends excessive time resolving each package.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

We need a requirements.txt. Currently, pip struggles a lot to install this software. Simple version fetches take 10 minutes per package. It makes the installation absurdly long.
