Research direction

Read docs/112 §3.2 and §7.2 for the bonding spec and the open choice on weight summing. Locate the mote struct and its save/serialize code in the Rust source, then add a carried-weight field with a new save tag. Verify with the witness that a bonded pair rests deeper than either member alone.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

area/conductor law track

A bonded collection is held as one body: in the band it is carried by its combined weight W = Σ w over one formula unit of its members, so its rest point R*·R* = w̄_c/W lies deeper than any member's.

Needs a carried-weight field on each mote (a new save tag). Open choice: a formula unit's sum, or holding per grain (docs/112 §7.2).

Witness: a bonded pair rests deeper than either member alone.

Spec: docs/112 §3.2, F4
