Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached savagewind.log and comparing the reported Great Plateau shadows with the emulator. Reproduce on the stated game and Savage Wind versions using the listed settings, then check whether changing Shadow Resolution affects the artifacts. Done means identifying a cause and confirming the shadows render without the reported artifacts.

What happened, and how to make it happen again

Shadows have strange artifacts that are not present in the Emulator. Increasing Resolution does not fix it, lowering it makes it even worse. Increasing Shadow Resolution somewhat decreases the artifacts but you can still clearly see them.
