Research direction

Read pages/aboutus/index.js, starting with the Awards list around line 77 and the grant list around line 836; the issue also points to the publication entry around line 59. Confirm the missing award details, source URL, grant amounts, and any PI or role names before editing, and coordinate with #303 and #246. Done means the verified entries and amounts are added in the existing style, with the publication note retained.

Description

Summary

The About Us page is missing two awards, and three grants in the Support section have no dollar amount while the others do. Part of this can be done now (Kaden's award). The rest is waiting on facts from the team.

Background

  • The About Us page (/aboutus) lists the project's publications, awards, theses and grants as plain strings in arrays.
  • Grant entries in the newer format look like: Name (PI), Name (Role), “Title,” Funder. $Amount. Year. For example FIPSE BengalBot ($300,000) and SARE ($6,000).
  • New entries should match the existing style, including curly quotes (“ ”).

Where

Redux_GUI, default branch ReduxAPI_GUI, file pages/aboutus/index.js:

  • publications array (starts line 24). The KAMI entry (line 51) ends with "Best Student Paper Award."
  • awards array (starts line 69). It lists only Andrija's two 2026 symposium awards.
  • Grant list in the Support section, lines 853-855.

Ready now

Kaden Marchetti's best paper award. Today it appears only at the end of a publication entry:

K. Marchetti and P. Bodily. 2022. KAMI: Leveraging the power of crowd-sourcing to solve complex, real-world problems. In 2022 Intermountain Engineering, Technology and Computing Conference (IETC), Orem, UT, USA, pp. 1–4. Best Student Paper Award.

Give it its own entry in awards and keep the note on the publication too. Confirmed by Andrija (Sep 3, 2026). Source link (a Facebook post, through a Google share link): https://share.google/cclDGX3ousy46i0k0

Suggested entry:

Best Student Paper Award, Kaden Marchetti, 2022 Intermountain Engineering, Technology and Computing Conference (IETC), for “KAMI: Leveraging the power of crowd-sourcing to solve complex, real-world problems.”

The share link redirects through Google first. Use it for now; swap in the direct Facebook post URL when someone has it.

Needs info

1. Andrija Sevaljevic's 2025 Research and Creative Works Symposium award. Confirmed by Andrija (Sep 3, 2026): an award from the 2025 ISU Research and Creative Works Symposium, reported as a runner-up award. The source is the same CoSE newsletter site (myemail.constantcontact.com) that the 2026 entries link to.

  • Still needed: the exact award name / category (and the runner-up placing), and the exact newsletter URL for the 2025 announcement.
  • Suggested shape: <Award name / category>, Andrija Sevaljevic, 2025 ISU Research and Creative Works Symposium.

2. Three grants without amounts (lines 853-855). They also lack PI / role names, unlike the newer entries:

  • “Crowd-Sourcing and Visualization of Advanced Computational Theory to Facilitate Application of Algorithmic Knowledgebase to Real-World Combinatorial Problems,” Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES). 2024.
  • “Application of advanced computational theory to facilitate efficient solutions to real-world combinatorial problems”, Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES). 2022.
  • “Interactive visualization tools for teaching computer science theory”, Idaho State University Office of Research. 2022.
  • Still needed: the amount for each, and the PI / role names if they should match the newer format.

3. Confirm that Kaden's award is the IETC 2022 Best Student Paper Award for the KAMI paper (the suggested entry assumes so), and get the direct Facebook URL.

Done when

  • Kaden Marchetti's best paper award has its own entry in the Awards section, linking to the Facebook post. (ready now)
  • Andrija's 2025 Research and Creative Works Symposium award is in the Awards section. (needs the award name and URL)
  • The three older grants show their amounts, and PI / role names if available. (needs the amounts)
  • New entries match the existing style, including curly quotes (“ ”).

Status

Not started. Checked Oct 19: the awards list still has only Andrija's 2026 awards, and the three grants still have no amounts.

Related

  • #303: adds the HERC grants and fixes the SARE entry in the same Support section. Coordinate so the two don't conflict.
  • #246 (merged): made these sections collapsible.
