Research direction
Start by checking RapidDoc's dependency metadata for fasttext-predict-v2 and identify where its release and CI configuration are maintained. Confirm that the package publishes a source distribution and CPython 3.14 Linux ARM64 wheel, then verify the built ARM64 wheel with an import smoke test; if ownership is external, document the upstream issue or metadata link instead.

Description
Environment
- Linux ARM64 (aarch64)
- CPython 3.14
- uv
- rapid-doc 0.9.9
Problem
rapid-doc 0.9.9 selects fasttext-predict-v2>=1.0.0,<=1.0.1 on Python 3.14. PyPI currently publishes CPython 3.14 Linux x86_64 wheels and a macOS ARM64 wheel, but no Linux ARM64 wheel and no source distribution.
A native Linux ARM64 install therefore fails during resolution:
Distribution fasttext-predict-v2==1.0.1 can't be installed because it
doesn't have a source distribution or wheel for the current platform
(Linux aarch64, CPython 3.14).
FastText itself works on ARM64. As a temporary downstream workaround, we built fasttext-predict==0.9.2.4 from its sdist on CPython 3.14/Linux ARM64. The extension also needed an explicit libstdc++ link (for example CXX=g++ LDFLAGS=-lstdc++); without that, importing fasttext failed with an undefined C++ ABI symbol.
Request
Could the fasttext-predict-v2 release used by RapidDoc please provide:
- a source distribution on PyPI, so unsupported architectures can build locally;
- manylinux ARM64 wheels, especially CPython 3.14;
- a CI smoke test that imports
fasttextfrom the built ARM64 wheel?
If the package repository is maintained elsewhere, a source/issue-tracker link in the PyPI metadata would also make it easier to report this directly. RapidDoc could alternatively allow the source-buildable fasttext-predict fallback on Linux ARM64 until v2 publishes that artifact matrix.
