Research direction

Read lib/core/extensions/harness/extension_protocol_profile.dart for the HostVersion comparison operators, then inspect _comparatorAllows in extension_manifest_validator.dart. Implement the missing greater-than operator using compareTo; done means HostVersion supports > and the validator can use that comparison directly.

Description

enhancement
Context

In #1630, HostVersion (lib/core/extensions/harness/extension_protocol_profile.dart) implemented operator <=:

bool operator >=(HostVersion other) => compareTo(other) >= 0;
bool operator <(HostVersion other) => compareTo(other) < 0;
bool operator <=(HostVersion other) => compareTo(other) <= 0;

However, operator > is not implemented on the class. Consequently, _comparatorAllows in extension_manifest_validator.dart evaluates > via the inverted comparison !(host <= HostVersion.parse(...)):

if (c.startsWith('>')) return !(host <= HostVersion.parse(c.substring(1)));
Change

Implement bool operator >(HostVersion other) => compareTo(other) > 0; on HostVersion to complete its comparison operator contract and simplify call sites.
