Research direction

Configure the PyCon Ireland 2026 event in Sessionize, including the listed talk formats and CFP and notification dates. Update the /cfp/ page with the Sessionize submission link and change cfpStatus in hugo.toml from "soon" to "open" only after the event is live; verify the rendered CFP page and link.

Description

enhancement

Context

The CFP page is live but submissions are not yet open. We need a Sessionize event configured before the CFP can open.

Task

  • Create the PyCon Ireland 2026 event on Sessionize
  • Configure talk formats (30-min talk, 5-min lightning talk)
  • Set CFP open and close dates
  • Set speaker notification date
  • Add the Sessionize submission link to the /cfp/ page
  • Update cfpStatus in hugo.toml from "soon" to "open" once live

Priority

ASAP — required before CFP can open.
