Fresh clone at 362e5d5, SDK_TAG=x86-64 PACKAGE_FORMAT=apk on a host with docker and the
pinned toolchains: the SDK package step dies with
install: cannot stat '/builder/package/tollgate-wrt/files/etc/uci-defaults/999-tollgate-admin-setup': No such file or directory
make[2]: *** […/tollgate-wrt.installed] Error 1
The Makefile comment itself explains it: 999-tollgate-admin-setup "is staged by
packaging/portal-build.sh from the pinned portal tree" — but build-sdk-package.sh never
calls portal-build.sh, so the local one-command path is not self-contained. Running
portal-build.sh first (after satisfying its node pin — v22.17.0) fixes the build; the
candidate used for today's vlab installer validation was built exactly that way.
Ask: either invoke portal-build.sh from build-sdk-package.sh when the staged file is
missing (guarding the double-build case), or fail early with an error that names the
missing step. Also worth noting for whoever hits this next: the pinned-toolchain gates
(GO_VERSION 1.26.8, node v22.17.0) are enforced hard — the errors are correct, but a
"run this first" hint in each would have saved a cycle.
