Research direction

Start with modules/openapi-generator/src/main/resources/php-symfony/composer.mustache and inspect the Symfony package constraints used by the php-symfony generator. Generate a bundle from any valid OpenAPI file with -g php-symfony, then try including it in a Symfony 8 project. Done means the generated bundle can be added without a Composer version conflict.

Description

Symfony 8.0 was released almost a year ago (November 2025) so it would be great that the generated Symfony bundles are compatible with it.
Currently it's not the case, at least because composer.mustache declares the constraint "^6.4|^7.0" on the Symfony packages.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Take any valid OpenAPI file
  2. generate a symfony bundle (with the CLI and flag -g php-symfony)

Expected output: the composer command to add this bundle succeeds
Actual output: composer fails because of version conflict
