Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached nvidia-bug-report logs and the reproduction steps, especially the change to NVreg_DynamicPowerManagement and the D3cold-to-D0 resume failure. The issue does not identify source files or tests, so first trace the reported timeout in the kernel-module code and check whether the failure can be reproduced. Done means the resume failure is understood and addressed, with the reported configuration no longer producing Xid 79 or the timeout.

Describe the bug

nvidia-bug-report.log.gz

This is a blackwell 5070, so you cannot use the proprietary drivers. So I can only test with the open drivers.

To Reproduce

Set NVreg_DynamicPowerManagement=0x02 in /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf, run dracut --force.

To get things working again, set NVreg_DynamicPowerManagement=0x00
