Research direction

Start with the linked CubeCL tracking issue, CubeCL issue 1282, which contains more details and two proposed integration paths; then review the CuTile and CubeCL APIs to assess feasibility. The issue does not name files or tests, and done would require agreeing on an integration path and the API considerations before implementation can be scoped.

Description

cutile-rs

Migrated from NVlabs/cutile-rs#84, opened by @nathanielsimard on 2026-04-10. Priority P1; 2 comments remain on the original.

We'd love to explore running CuTile kernels through CubeCL. CubeCL is a multi-platform GPU compute language for Rust that powers Burn, and integrating CuTile would let users write tile-optimized NVIDIA kernels within that ecosystem.

We've opened a tracking issue on our side with more details and two proposed integration paths: https://github.com/tracel-ai/cubecl/issues/1282

Would be great to hear your thoughts on feasibility and whether there are any API considerations on the CuTile side that could facilitate this.
