Research direction

Reproduce the crash by building and running repeat while true in Minecraft and Block Coding for Minecraft v0.0.2, using the iOS and macOS environments described. Trace the interpreter path for this loop and compare the two affected environments. Done means the infinite loop no longer crashes either application.
