Research direction

Start by reproducing the Shift behavior after selecting a suggested word, then trace the keyboard's Shift handling and suggestion selection entry points. Check how capitalization cycling is expected to work and compare it with typing “iOS” using successive Shift taps. Done means both behaviors are clarified and the reported glitch is fixed or confirmed as intended.

Description

Query

Option to cycle word capitalization with Shift (lowercase -> Title Case -> UPPERCASE) introduced in beta-429-2(?) does not work with words selected from suggestions.

Start typing a word, choose one from the suggestions offered, cursor is at the end of the chosen word, tap Shift. Nothing happens. Is that by design?

Also, how to type iOS? Type i, tap Shift to type O, you get IO. Works by long-pressing Shift and sliding to o and s, ofc. Is that how it is meant to be?
