Research direction

The bug is in src/storage/memory.ts around lines 598 and 600, where the updateHotMemory call omits its fifth startedAt argument. Read the signature of updateHotMemory and the code that reads newestSession.frontmatter.started_at just above those lines. Done means that after a rebuild, hot.md's started_at matches the source session note instead of being null.

Description

bug core priority: medium

Location: src/storage/memory.ts:598,600

updateHotMemory(...) is called without the 5th startedAt arg (defaults to null) even though newestSession.frontmatter.started_at is available; rebuild runs at the end of every session, so hot.md.started_at is persistently null after any rebuild, disagreeing with its source note.

Fix: Pass (newestSession.frontmatter.started_at as string) || null.
