Research direction

Start from the existing JPS pack semantics (outcome-as-fact and evidence-availability edges) and the graph workspace release this follows. Draft RFC 0002 as a document that stays in Draft status and covers each listed topic: inputs/outputs, reference resolution, identity/version binding, limits, ordering, traces, review/lock boundaries and compatibility. Done means documented decisions, open questions and testable examples that scope a separate experimental runtime.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

The current runtime composes pack nodes with outcome-as-fact and evidence-availability edges. It does not nest graphs. Develop a draft proposal for reusable subgraphs without silently treating copies as live references.

Address explicit inputs/outputs, project reference resolution, identity/version binding, expanded node namespaces, recursion/cycle and size limits, deterministic ordering, unresolved dispositions and handoffs, result traces, review/lock boundaries, compatibility and examples.

Keep RFC 0002 Draft; this work does not declare a normative specification or change existing JPS pack semantics. Explicit import/expansion into a flat graph remains distinguishable from a live reusable subgraph.

Acceptance: documented decisions, unresolved questions and testable examples sufficient to scope a separate experimental runtime implementation. Follow-up to the graph workspace release; not a dependency for combining the browser or enabling chat rehearsal.
