Research direction

This is a request to add swipe (gesture) typing to the Android keyboard app written in Kotlin; the issue names no files, tests or entry points. A newcomer would first need to find where key touch input is handled in the keyboard code and judge whether word-path matching is feasible there. Done would mean a working gesture-typing design agreed with maintainers, which the 22-comment thread does not yet show.

Feature description

Gesture typing by swiping is what some other keyboards do. Not calling names in order NOT to advertise, but I'm pretty sure, that you know what I mean.
I miss that feature in Fossify Keyboard.
Please, add the feature.

Why do you want this feature?

Makes typing lot faster.
