Research direction

The payload names no source files or tests. The reporter's JSON maps each Cyrillic key to its long-press alternates, but the author calls it a starting point for discussion, so the letter set is not settled. The reporter could not run gradlew build because it froze their machine. Done would mean an agreed 26-key Cyrillic layout with long-press variants that the app can select, plus a maintainer decision on the letter set first.

Feature description

A universal 26 character Cyrillic keyboard layout similar to ones that are present for Latin keyboards.
I've provided an JSON object where keys are the button letters and the list values are the letters that prop up upon holding a letter button.

Why do you want this feature?

Latin layouts support a 26 key layout where a primary letter is show and long press provides visually or phonetically similar letters.
An example would be:

{c : [č,ć]}

All Cyrillic keyboards that I've came a cross do not provide such a feature and mostly have around 30 letters which results that it is hard to type due to buttons being small.

Additional information

The provided JSON is not a final version, and should be a starting point for a discussion.
I would gladly provide a Pull Request myself, but my computer (Ryzen 3200u running Ubuntu 24.04) freezes upon attempting to build the keyboard app using gradlew build.
