Research direction

Start by reading the README and locate the existing compose smoke test mentioned in the acceptance criteria. Check how the app, runner, storage, required secrets, and public images are currently configured, then use that to plan the compose file and setup guidance. Done means a clean machine can follow the README to get a review comment on a test pull request, with the smoke test verifying the setup where possible.

Description

area: ops type: feature

Goal

A new user can have a working instance with one command and a short, clear configuration step.

Tasks

  • A single compose.yml (published in the repository and referenced in the README) that starts the app, the runner, and storage with sensible defaults, using the public images.
  • A guided setup for the required secrets (GitHub App credentials, auth secret, runner token, LLM key): either a setup script that generates what can be generated, or an .env.example with comments.
  • A documented path for creating the GitHub App (manifest flow if feasible, otherwise step by step with screenshots).
  • Health check and a "first review in five minutes" walkthrough.

Acceptance criteria

On a clean machine with Docker, following only the README results in a review comment on a test pull request. Verified in CI by the existing compose smoke test where possible.
