Research direction

Start with the current-main Actions run 30913286858 and reproduce the failures in tests/test_mcp_palette.py, including Ruff I001 and test_alert_framing_pages_once_per_episode_not_per_kickstart. Trace the relevant CI checks and watchdog test setup before making the separate baseline repair. Done means the current-main Python checks pass so merges are no longer blocked.

Description

#646 lane green; current-main Python baseline blocks merge.

  • Exact #646 head 7b7163218f: Codex clean; swift (macos-15) passed in 4m27s; local current-main full Swift 847/847 passed (10 skipped); branch clean and exactly two files.
  • Unrelated inherited red: current main run https://github.com/EtanHey/brainlayer/actions/runs/30913286858 fails Ruff I001 in untouched tests/test_mcp_palette.py and watchdog test test_alert_framing_pages_once_per_episode_not_per_kickstart. #646 reproduces the lint failure; git diff origin/main -- tests/test_mcp_palette.py is empty.
  • No open palette/watchdog repair PR was found. Per the bounded lane, unrelated Python repairs were NOT added to #646. Final matrix: 3.13 reproduced that same watchdog failure after 3,444 passes; 3.11/3.12 were cancelled by fail-fast. Local isolated reproduction also failed identically in 45.43s.

Current-main baseline repair needs a separate carrier; once it lands, that lane still owes merge + ambient default-branch daemon receipt.
