Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by mapping where live connections, historical firewall/ACL traffic, and connection details are represented, then define the filterable overview and drill-down scope. Done means the module design explains how administrators can trace aggregate views to individual allowed or blocked connections.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Traffic Insights should give network administrators a single, filterable view of live connections and historical firewall/ACL traffic, letting them quickly see who (user, device, location) accessed what (destination, port, protocol), which ACL rule allowed or blocked it, and drill down from aggregate overviews (top users, top destinations, blocked attempts) to individual connection details.
