Feature description
We're currently working on something on Android which makes network connections over BLE and Wi-Fi and a VPN connection. We're finding that when the network comes up, it triggers a flood of datadog traffic which can crowd out some other important traffic our app requires to function. (mostly because we've been collecting logs while the phone has been offline, When these connections succeed, the phone comes back online, and datadog immediately starts sending logs / traces / spans etc.
It would be fantastic if we could independently pause / resume datadog uploading to the Internet so that we could do it a bit later on once the connection has stablized.
Since I couldn't find this type of API, we're currently we're using a bit of janky unpause / pause mechanism by setting tracking consent to pending and then depending on if the user has given permission or not, back to to granted in order to do this, but it would be nicer if we could just directly use an API call to pause / resume network traffic.
