Research direction

The issue identifies the Save and Restore UI but does not name a source file or test. Start by locating that UI in the repository and reading how its table columns are defined and configured. Done means users can hide or reorder columns, including alarm columns, to suit their needs.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

codathon

The current UI of save and restore can feel quite overwhelming when you configure both set/readback PVs, particularly when the set PVs are not configured to alarm, these additional columns become redundant information that takes up a significant portion of the usable space.

Ideally, it would be nice to be able to hide these alarm columns (or others that the user doesn't deem relevant) if they're not of interest to the operator or alternatively move them to the edge of the table to better organise the information in a way that appeals to them.
