Research direction

Start at the startup path that reports “Error creating main database” and trace how cache database migrations are run, using the failure described for migration #252 as a reference. Check how the cache database is separated from the main database and what existing recovery or migration tests cover. Done means a failed cache migration can recreate the disposable cache and startup continues; the issue does not name specific files or tests.

Description

bug

Problem

The HTTP response cache database is disposable, but if a migration fails on it (for example a unique-index migration such as #252 hitting unexpected data) chaptarr stops at startup with 'Error creating main database'. Since the cache holds only re-fetchable responses, a failed cache migration could recreate the cache database (or drop the table) and continue. Found while reviewing #252.
