Research direction

Start with transcription.html and trace how a supplied manifest is loaded into view mode, then follow the permission and IPR checks that currently route users to T-REX. Done means a provided manifest can be viewed without editing or saving transcription, while the existing permission and IPR protections remain intact.

Description

capstone feature

http://t-pen.org/TPEN/transcription.html

The base page (which users can't get to without knowing to try it manually) accepts a manifest and loads it into view mode.

However, they always get the T-REX because it can't pass the permission checks (because the array of permitted manifest for the given user is empty, and so no checks pass).

To allow this interface in T-PEN to show a provided manifest (no editing possible, no transcription will save), we need to make the manifest for viewing pass permission and IPR checks via some mechanism.
