Research direction

Review PR #246 and inspect the canvas-panel centering logic first, then reproduce the issue with a mix of long and short lines. Done means every rendered line is centered within the panel, including the short-line cases described in the issue.

Description

bug component

Although the changes from PR #246 ("244 bottom image alignment") have been applied, there are still alignment issues when rendering short lines. This appears to be due to the way canvas-panel calculates and applies centering, which does not always align short lines as expected. Further investigation and adjustment to the centering logic in canvas-panel is needed to resolve these remaining issues.

Related PR: #246

Steps to reproduce:

  • Apply the changes from PR #246
  • Render a set of long and short lines using canvas-panel
  • Observe that the alignment below is still off-center (leftwards) in some cases

Expected behavior:

  • All lines, regardless of length, should be properly centered within the panel.
