Research direction

Start with the Any Part in specified time span filter and the QueryBuilderTest regression mentioned in the issue. Update the time overlap condition so flows spanning the whole selected window are included, then run the QueryBuilderTest and confirm its predicate and parameter order expectations match the new behavior.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

Bug

The default Any Part in specified time span filter checks whether a flow start or end time falls inside the selected window. It omits flows whose start is before the window and whose end is after it, even though the flow overlaps the entire window.

Expected behavior

Include a flow whenever its interval overlaps the selected range: start_time is at or before the range end, and end_time is at or after the range start.

Validation

The QueryBuilderTest regression currently fails because it expects the existing BETWEEN predicate and parameter order.
