Research direction

Start with tests/run-control-option-store-integration.php around line 205 and run the integration test repeatedly against MySQL to reproduce the concurrent-process failure. Inspect the existing process coordination and assertion around “enqueue concurrent with claim succeeds”; done means the admission race is tested deterministically or safely retried without hiding real failures, and repeated runs pass reliably.

Description

The Option-store concurrency job failed once on #575 (a PR touching no run-control or option-store code): RuntimeException: enqueue concurrent with claim succeeds at tests/run-control-option-store-integration.php:205. It passed on rerun. Over the last 30 runs this is the only failure.

The test runs two real processes against MySQL and asserts both results. A timing-dependent assertion in a merge gate needs either deterministic interleaving (a barrier file or lock-step signal) or a retry around the admission race it's asserting. Worth a look before it trains people to hit rerun.
