Research direction

Begin by locating the templated integrator interfaces and the RKC and VODE entry points. Clarify which thermodynamic conditions should select each integrator, then define the wrapper behavior and tests that would demonstrate completion.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Description

integrator

With the integrators now templated, it should be straightforward to create a wrapper that can call multiple different integrators depending on the thermodynamic conditions. For example, we could try RKC if it seems appropriate and VODE otherwise.
