HiDPI optimizations look weird with 200% scaling on GNOME

Describe the bug.

1. Open GNOME (40) settings.
2. Head to Display, change Scaling to 200%
3. 

Expected behavior

The numbers are supposed to stay in the boxes, the letters are supposed to be readable, you probably get the idea as to why this looks completely wrong visually speaking.

Additional context

• Possibly relevant to #468.
• I tested this with a 1920x1080 resolution. This was also reported by a social media user with a 4K monitor and others.
• The tenacity-git AUR package was used.
• @Be-ing suggested that this possibly had something to do with using an outdated version of wxWidgets.
• Last check: August 12, 2021.

This issue was reported to me over social media and I successfully managed to reproduce it.
