This code has been marked deprecated in the hosting file since 2020 with commit c962423bbc5011dabd8e7b314993802a1db646a5.
This work will require ensuring that all of the migration work to move calls to the eventracking app have been completed.
Removal
At least common/djangoapps/track/tracker.py should be removed. Any other code that was also deprecated when this functionality was extracted should also be removed.
Replacement
It's already been replaced by the eventtracking app.
