描述

Openstack is mentioned most explicitly in Related Topics as a private cloud alternative, which has traditionally been its deployment.

Openstack Omni aims to "provide a standard OpenStack API for managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments" and starts with AWS. I'm not sure how it compares to, say, Eucalyptus. It's value may be mostly in the eyes of the proponents, but seems worth a mention.

This issue can track other Openstack developments in relation to AWS.
