I have:

searched open and closed issues for duplicates

Allow a backup session to gracefully end (saving all state information so that it can be quickly resumed) so that it can be set to end after say 24 hours or some other configurable time to allow other backups that may be queued behind it to run also that a backup may not run again unless manually invoked for x hours to stop a single backup take all of the backup time.

This is especially important I feel for initial backups (which may be multi terabyte backups for media) but also important for backups which are handling large files.
