This issue was created by an agent analysing CI failures from the Next.js Deploy Suite (vinext
mainvs Next.jsv16.2.6, 2026-05-22).
Problem
Gesture transitions for App Router (View Transitions API integration) are not implemented. The target page never becomes visible after a gesture-driven navigation.

~1 test failures across the deploy suite.

Recommendation

Reproduce first in vinext's own test suite. Set up the gesture-transitions fixture and assert the target page becomes visible after a swipe-style navigation.

Implement View Transitions integration. Wrap navigation commits in
document.startViewTransition(...)and forward gesture intent to the navigation. Likely a follow-up to #1366-#1368.
