描述

Demonstrate interacting with a Linux and/or Windows guest OS to set the IP address on one or more VIF and PIF attached to the VM. Demonstrate how to query the IP associated with a VM.

Review existing samples in the repository (https://github.com/vmware/pyvmomi community samples) for code style and patterns. Read pyVmomi documentation (https://github.com/vmware/pyvmomi) to understand VirtualMachine, Network, and WaitForTasks. The sample should demonstrate setting IP for a guest OS using tools like VIX or guest operations. Querying IP can be done via guest operations or vSphere API. Test against a vCenter or ESXi host.
