描述

There is a JNI-based impemlemtation here: http://www.hdfgroup.org/hdf-java-html/hdf-object/index.html, but I'd rather not use it if there's a pure java implementation. This is what Saddle uses, though.

Quick googling suggests there's no pure java implementation.

Investigate the referenced HDF Java library at http://www.hdfgroup.org/hdf java html/hdf object/index.html. Determine if a pure Java implementation exists or if JNI is necessary. Evaluate the feasibility of integrating HDF I/O into Breeze's existing data structures. Check if there are any ongoing efforts or forks that address this feature.
