Summary

(On the community clone bugbash server)

  1. Open a channel (e.g. Focalboard)
  2. Select the Boards icon in the apps bar to open the RHS
  3. Select a board from the RHS to open it
  4. The board opens, but isn't visible in the sidebar

Need to scroll a lot to find the board in the sidebar.

How important this is to me and why

Importance: Medium

Use cases:

  1. It's difficult to remember which category the board belongs to, or select another view from the side bar if it's not visible.

Examine the sidebar component in the Focalboard codebase to understand how boards are listed and how scrolling works. Look for existing scroll functions or libraries used. The issue requests that when a board is opened from the RHS, the sidebar automatically scrolls to that board's entry. Check the board opening logic and the sidebar's scroll container to implement a scrollIntoView or similar behavior. The issue is #3466 and no PR is linked, so it's open for a newcomer.
