responsive design of Asides

I want to use Asides for parenthetical comments, like this:

The problem is that aligning this Aside with the TOP of the paragraph requires putting the HTML for the Aside BEFORE the paragraph. The current responsive design for Asides inlines them:

Really, the aside belongs AFTER the paragraph. (It should also probably get some kind of box / caption to mark its status as a sidebar.)

I'm not sure how to pull this off!
