This issue proposes adding a Firecracker based container factory to OpenWhisk. To start, study the existing container factory implementations (Docker, Kubernetes) in the OpenWhisk codebase, particularly the factory interfaces and lifecycle management. Then research Firecracker's microVM API and how it can be integrated. The issue has no linked PRs or assignees, so it is available.
