Issue Type: Feature Request
Currently, git submodules are listed as individual repositories in the source control view. This makes it hard to identify the submodules. Using https://github.com/tlemo/darwin for example, the list of submodules is not very helpful:
Since git submodules can be explicitly assigned descriptive names, it would be nice if VS Code would have the option to use the submodule's name.
