I wonder if using http://sourceforge.net/projects/astyle/ would be better than uncrustify.

https://github.com/timonwong/SublimeAStyleFormatter uses it (through pyastyle) and it is working great for me.

Investigate the existing Uncrustify integration in atom beautify to understand the plugin architecture. Look into how pyastyle works and whether it provides a similar interface. Consider if the Astyle formatter can be added as a new beautifier similar to the existing ones. Note that the repository is migrating to Unibeautify, so check if Unibeautify already supports Astyle.
